The Heartbeat Session and its benefits

The Heartbeat Session is a unique sound and visual experience of your own heartbeat, an experiential dive into your own heart. You experience yourself differently from the awareness developed from the H2H connecting device. I now understand better what it means when they say that our brains and heart can be only in one of two states. The first state is “fight-flight-freeze” state and controls the sympathetic nervous system. This state always has priority since it is responsible for survival. That is a state of stress and fear that prevents growth, regeneration, healing, and other positive emotions. The average person is in this state more than 70% of the time. The other state is “rest-and-digest” or “feed and breed”, that is the state of love, peace, gratitude, happiness, and joy. It controls the parasympathetic nervous system. We can do that through many methods, but the first step is knowing about it. That’s what the H2H device did for me.

The heart is always in the here and now and it supports all bodily processes in the here and now. The brain is different–it mostly lives in past fears and tries to project them into the future. If you perceive that you are in an unwanted state, one of the most common methods used to calm yourself is to relax with breathing. Usually, when we are in a resting position, breathing rate and heartbeat are in a certain ratio. Frequently, counting is used as a help for breathing techniques. But I have found counting my own heartbeats with the aid of the H2H device is much more natural, much less complicated, and far more effective. When you relax, heart rate automatically drops and the intervals are longer, very naturally. That results in a lower heart rate, longer breathing intervals and experiencing peace.
